PictureShow Trial

Post by whlanehart »

I have downloaded a trial version of PictureShow 4. Can you only add 10 images to a slideshow? Is 5 slideshows the max? I added 41 images to 5 slideshows and burned them to DVD. It worked in my DVD player. I tried to burn a couple of more slideshows to the same DVD, and it won't write. Can you only put 50 images max on a DVD?

I guess I have the same question. I just downloaded PhotoShow 4 and I am limited to 10 pictures. This has got to be a limiitation in the Trial version but I would like for someone to confirm this before I spend my money. So, is this 10 picture limitation only in the trial version?

What you are describing is not a limitation of the program. When you burn a DVD it is finalized, and can not be added to after that. If you are using a DVD +/- RW (re-writeable) then you could re-write the disc, however it could erase what you already have. A Data DVD is different then a DVD that plays on stand-alone players. They can have content added, without loosing what is already there, until the disk is finalized.

Are you using DVD +/- RW discs? In the program are you creating a DVD movie?

I'm not familiar with this program, so could you explain the steps you are taking to create your DVD?

I don't know about the person that started this thread but I have not gotten to the point where I burn a disc. When I ADD more than 10 pictures to a slideshow, it stops after adding the first 10 and gives me a message stated that I cannot ADD more than 10 pictures. The terminology gets confusing here. Let me put it another way. When I tried making my first slideshow, I marked 278 pictures and pressed the ADD button. The first 10 pictures were moved to the slideshow and then a message box popped up which said "The number of photos in the slideshow must not exceed 10.". Now I need to know if this limitation is also in the purchased version as it is in the trial version?

According to a thread started on 09/04/06, the limitation is only for the Free Trial version so I guess I will go ahead and make a purchase. Ulead could save a lot of people a lot of confusion if their message box pop up would say it pertains only to the trial version.

Hi

Yes, trial version limitation. A pop up box would be helpful, but I have more than 20 slideshows, with many images each, transitions, multiple audio tracks per slide show, fade in and out... Picture show is the best!

No other compares. If you like the trial version, get the full version, with extra content

okay, I need a little clarification.

1. Is the 10 pix per slide show a trial limitaion or not? I do not get any messages indicating that this is a result of a trial.

2. I have a simple requirement for the software that I am trying to confirm.
If I create a slide show of lets say 50 pix, can I have lets say 3 diffetent audio tracks starting at various points through the slideshow?

Yes it is a limitation of the trial version.
You could easily put a couple of hundred pictures into a slideshow if you obtain the full version.

thaks for the reply but what about my second question:

2. I have a simple requirement for the software that I am trying to confirm.
If I create a slide show of lets say 50 pix, can I have lets say 3 diffetent audio tracks starting at various points through the slideshow?

Here is an example:

The first 20 pics use song A, the next 20 use song B, the next 20 use song C, and so forth.

Also, can I adjust the song length for each of those 20 pix or do I have to trim it first?

I rally want to buy the software but I have seen so much negatvity on this forum about PS4.
thx
