From your screenshot, it appears that you just double clicked on the moving path in the production library without actually applying it to your image in the timeline.

Did you drag the moving path from the production library over onto the clip in the timeline?

Does the clip in the timeline show a little box in the upper left with an 'M' in it? If so, right click on the clip in the timeline and select moving path from the context menu to bring up the dialog.

This application is causing my blood pressure to raise...lol.

Now that I know how to apply correctly the moving path whenever I enter the image dimension size they manually change on their own! How do you get the key frames to remain stationary when everytime I put in a new value it alters another. I have selected "Keep Aspect Ratio".

You don't knw what you are doing wrong, that's bad. The trouble is, we don't really know either, we can only guess.

For anyone to give you any meaningfull advice, we need more details. May I suggest you read this post http://phpbb.ulead.com.tw/EN/viewtopic.php?t=8961, it would give you an idea about the details we need.

heinz-oz there is nothing 'bad' about not knowing what I am doing wrong. I have worked in IT for many years and have supported environments from low level (desktop support) to high level (FW, Server, etc) and I have never told one of my user's they were bad for not knowing why they were having a problem. I am out of my element with this software but figured out the majority of it on my own in very little time where we have one dept at my work that sole's job is video production.

Part of a forum is asking for help and to guide us to shed more light on the issue . While I agree that help can't be given without knowing more info on a problem I clearly asked in my last post:

"How do you get the key frames to remain stationary when every time I put in a new value it alters another. I have selected "Keep Aspect Ratio"."

It is obvious to me that you and others on this forum (as I did countless searches for my fix) are not in the business to help without criticizism. If you find this offensive I apologize but this type of behavior is very counter productive.

Klowther digested what I gave and gave a sound suggestion that worked.

When 'keep aspect ratio' is checked, changing either width or height will cause the other to adjust. This because you told the software to keep the ratio of horizontal vs. vertical pixels the same.

If you want MSP to take your changes verbatum, uncheck 'keep aspect ratio'. However, doing so will most probaby result in a visually distorted image.

Hope that helps.

I know what Heinz is talking about and I'm sure you took him the wrong way. I, too, get very shirty at times trying to help forum users who refuse to help themselves. Instead of reading the link, which is quite explicitly entitled, some users think they know better. Then, if we dare to ask them a question, they come back at us, accuse us of unhelpfulness, rather than answer it. I've seen this hundreds of times and sometimes getting an answer is harder than drawing teeth. Yet we are expected to be clairvoyant and know what is wrong.

Would you phone a doctor complaining you had a headache and expecting him to tell you whether it was caused by indigestion, lack of sleep, a blow to the head, a hangover, eye strain, a brain tumour, or what? Yet this is what a few forum users are asking. We try to avoid this by publishing guidelines in that sticky link, right at the top of the board. Thank God, some users read it and follow the advice and we are pleased to help them to the best of our ability.

You should not therefore throw a book at Heinz for pointing out that it's a good way of establishing a dialogue that helps us help you.

Devil I help folks everyday with computer and software problems while performing my higher level job functions and I still do not give attitude back to the person in need.

I know all too well what you mean but lets keep the main thing the main thing. I asked a clear and direct question and I got an uncalled remark back....end of story.

Again please read my post and question please:

"How do you get the key frames to remain stationary when every time I put in a new value it alters another. I have selected "Keep Aspect Ratio"."

klowther again came through for me. Thank you :)

Do a search on Terry and copy keyframes :P .
I too have been lazy in reading the latest manual. Wonder if anyone ever writes manuals that just feature the new features of an upgrade

Or I can just type it again ;)

Right-click on the keyframe and all manner of keyframe action options will present themselves in the context menu.

The right-click technique is for MSP8. The OP has MSP6.5 and will need to do it manually.
