MediaStudio Pro 6.5/Video Editor 6.5 Image Size issue again
Hello,
Thank you for this site as I have been trying to figure out this issue for 48 hrs.
I am complete newbie to this software and just looking for some help with an issue. I have a 4 min 55 mb mpg that I created with images, text, and sound (one mp3 song); no video at all in it. It looks great, runs fine (from my tests) but the audio skips through out the playing of the actually mpg.
I have tested the audio out within the program and on Winamp and it does not skip. I have used different mp3 songs, and tried a wav file and it still skipped....
Can someone help me please?
Thank you in advance

If you do a search here for mp3, you will find you are not alone.
The problem is that there is no real spec for mp3 audio as a stand-alone audio format. It is part of the audio in Layer 3 of MPEG files and should not really be separated. The problem is that the compression algorithm is quite good, with relatively little loss of quality but the way different softwares wrap it up for stand-alone audio changes from one to another. They may all play more or less correctly in an MP3 player but, because they do not conform to the full MPEG spec, they may or may not be used correctly in a video application, resulting in loss of synch, no audio or poor quality.
Conclusion: NEVER use MP3 in a video application. OTOH, if you convert the MP3 to WAV before you bring it into the timeline, it will probably work fine.

Thank you Devil and Heinz-Oz. I did read that mp3 format does not do well so I tried a couple of other songs until I got one to work....
I do not know if I have to post another thread but does anyone know if there is a way in the program/project to keep the original size of images intact vs getting blown up to the size of the frame size?
Thank you

This has also been answered many times. You apply a Moving Path 2D Basic, check the keep aspect ratio box and adjust the size and position to suit. This is even easier in MSP8, as you can drag the corner/position in the Preview window, thus avoiding having to enter figures.

You must have identical figures at both keyframes on either end of the time scale to keep it stationary. I don't understand why the OK button is greyed out.

This may differ in detail to what you have, but it should be similar.

Devil I had just figured it out when I saw your screen shot...thank you!
You won't believe it but the "ok" button is still greyed out....yikes.
I didn't know how to paste in a screen shot so I put it online:

Now I am obsessing over this but determined to figure out what I am doing wrong. I created new projects and tried to use the moving path features and no luck. Also tried different formats of image files. It does not only happen in the 2D Basic options but all options in the production (filters and effects). I have a full licensed copy of Video Editor so that can't be it. What the heck am I doing wrong....
Thank you in advance.
