Copy direct to DVD from an analog VCR
Using VS 10 Plus can you capture video directly from an analog VCR and burn it to a DVD without going through video editing? As a new user to Video Studio it looks as though the DV-DVD Wizard will do this from Digital VCRs

I have never ever used the direct to DVD function. However, it is my understanding that the wizard only assists in capturing the mpeg2 files, it does not burn to disk simultaneously.
Most people already have resource problems just capturing the mpeg files if they do not have a dedicated capture device with hardware decoder. If you would attempt a simultaneous burn while the CPU is busy de/encoding your video, you would be heading for disaster.
You would be better off getting a DVD-VHS combo recorder to record your VHS tapes straight to disk. Having said that, these disks would not be playable in a stand alone DVD player.
