MF5 with updates, still not fixed

Post by ruggy1 »

Joining video clips, either MPEG2 or AVI was never MF5's strong point. With the updates I can now join clips repeatedly without crashing. The trouble is that whereas MF4 can join MPEG2 clips and very quickly convert the title to produce an ISO (Do not convert compliant MPEG option ticked), MF5 now takes forever with the same MPEG2 clips as if it is re-rendering the whole thing, even though the above option is ticked. Anyone else had this problem? Thanks
MF2, MF3, MF4, MF5, VS7, VS10+, VS12, Nero Vision Express. Ricoh and Sony 16x DVD recorder, Sony HC5 High def camera. Also Canopus ADVC110 for AV/DV input through firewire

Yes it seems that with every new release of MF, the good stuff from before is thrown out (the things that actually work) so that new esoteric things can be added. I will still stick to MF4 of everyday work. Maybe one day all the things that actually work will be put together in a MF release that actually does all things well!. I keep my fingers crossed!
