using multi trim with dmf4

does dmf4 have a timeline box like the dmf5 version for multi trim or do i edit the large video at the top in dmf4 and create thumbnails ?

No DMF4 does not. The Multi-trim for DMF5, DMF5+ and VS10+ are all similar. You edit the video seen in the preview pane, and create thumbnails..
