Audio Track SLiding
I own Video Studio 10, but have rarely used it. I have a video file AVI taken with a DVD camcorder with a 2 ch wireless mike. The talking head had his mike muted and only the occasional audio from Mike 2 can be heard. I have a WAV file of the audio taken on a minidisk I'm trying to sync with the video track. I'll need to slide the audio to match the occasional audio from Mike 2 to sync the audio. Is there any way of sliding the entire backup audio track relative to the video track with this program? Unfortunately, I can't sync if trom the beginning.

I'm not sure I fully understand what you're asking. You can slide the audio track, just by dragging it to the left or right. You need to be in the Audio step, and click on the Audio timeline icon, located to the left end of the timeline. Once you get the audio in sync, then activate Ripple Editing, to lock it to the main video track.
Ripple Editing can be activated by clicking on the folder/tree looking icon located on the left side of the main video track. You will also see icons that look like chain links. Clicking on the one beside the audio track will activate Ripple for that track. Again this locks the track(s) with the main Video track. Changes to overlay and the other audio tracks do not affect each other, just changes to the main video track.
