Hello,
I am a new Video Studio 9 user. I'm converted old VHS tapes to DVD (home movies). I find that after completing the video capture step I can create simple DVD movie discs just fine. But if I try to add chapters at specific points in the video then I often get a memory access violation and Video Studio 9 crashes during the DVD Burn step. Has anyone else had this problem and is there a work-around or big fix?
Also, I found a VS9 service pack on the ULEAD web site but when I try to install it I get an error that "can't find an installed verson of Video Studio 9 on my system" or something like that.
I forgot to add, I got Video Studio 9 as a bundle with an "ADS Tech" DVDXpress DX2 video capture device.
Thank you,
Rob

Hey Rob, welcome to the forums..
, Sorry but your version of VS9 is an SE version. Most of the updates and fixes only install to full paid for versions. If you read on Ulead's update fixes page, it states which ones can be (if any) applied to SE versions.
The warning (not an error in this case) is correct.
Memory errors generally have to do with running out of space to work with. Could you complete your system specs in your profile? Simply click on the Profile icon at the top of the page and complete the information. For better performance having more then 1 HDD is recommended. Then under the Preferances setting the working folder to the second harddrive can help alleviate such issues. You have to do this for both the Editor, and the Burn module (Share>Create Disc). The burn module has its own Preferences. To access it, once in the burn module, click on the gear looking icon, located to the bottom left of the window.
