Video plays in upper LH corner of WMPlayer

i've searched and found nothing in previous forums, and have mimicked the prescribed procedure for burning DVD's , but off the top of your head, can anyone think why my VS10 authored DVD video plays in the upper left hand corner of windows media plyr?

this looks like a question for Microsoft. previously mastered dvds do the same thing.

i fried a hard drive last week, and XP has just been reloaded onto this machine. apparently a flaw or default setting in WMP.

hmmm. i've never seen this before. have you?
