Error 4525

Post by Adam_231 »

Trying to convert and burn a couple of movies and get error 4525.

Funny thing is one I get the message and try again the movie will burn, but it has no sound!! If you preview before burning it has sound, but once burned its all picture and no sound.

This only happens with specific files, other movies work fine.

Any ideas/suggestions?

what version

Post by GeorgeW »

what version of MovieFactory do you have? Some versions do not support Dolby Digital audio, and if your source has that type of audio, then it might not end up on your final disc.

Another possibility is that you have created an NTSC disc with mpeg audio. Not all NTSC DVD Players will playback mpeg audio (it is not part of the NTSC Specs).

What are the attributes of your source videos, and what are the attributes of your project template? video resolution, bitrate, audio type, etc... and what version of MF are you using?

p.s. don't forget to update with the latest patches for your version

where did they come from?

How about the properties of your source videos? What type of audio do they have? Dolby Digital? Your version of MF 3.5 might not support DOlby Digital audio if it came bundled with some hardware.

Just noticed a "cooincidence" -- your source videos have a name similar to a recent Animated Title that was released on DVD. Some sites might issue a "copyright" warning if they saw such a procedure taking place...

Ah yes, a 'co-incidence' indeed

Uhm, my version of Movie Factory does support Dolby Digital alright but how can i tell with the original .avi file what its sound source is?

PS - thanks for the help so far!!

right-click on it...

right-click on the file on your timeline, then show its properties. If it's a divx.xvid .avi, then they can cause problems as well (the audio could be something that DMF doesn't like).

btw, to get it under th 4.7gb, go with Dolby Digital audio in your prject template -- instead of the LPCM audio...

George,

It comes up with 'Unkown ACM format' presumably this is the problem.

I am kinda new to this stuff, any ideas what i do about it?

Also, I changed to the Dolby Digital but it didnt appear to make a difference to the size?
