I'm using VS10+. Today I bought a PC magazine which had as a bonus CD inserted into it a full version of MediaStudio Pro 7ve (I didn't realise it was there until I got home!). I need to register it online, but otherwise it doesn't seem to be a trial version.
My question is: Is it worth installing and learning to use it or would I be better to stick to VS10+. I know it's free so I can install it and then decide what I think of it, but software takes time to learn to use and I wonder if people who know both programs think it'd be worth investing the time in MS Pro 7ve?
Grateful for your views

Hi Bill,
Well I received a copy of MSP 7VE and did install it. Yes, it is not a trial version, however you can not produce DVD MPEG2 with it. You can however use it to build a video project, render to an DV/AVI and then bring that into VS to render a DVD MPEG-2.
On a previous occasion I had d/l the TBYB (trial) version of MSP7. I almost purchased it just before MSP8 was released. However I did give into MSP8. It really allows you to create, albeit with a learning curve. Since it is free, it certainly wouldn't do any harm to install it and just play around at your leisure, learning the many different things that can be done. I still have it installed on my machine..
