widescreen conversion problem!

Post by debate01 »

Hi, Ive got a avi movie that is in widescreen. When i convert it with DMF3, it stretches the image to fill the whole screen. This makes everything really really badly warp and enlogated vertically.
How can i fix this????

P.S. the original avi does not have black borders. Its cropped to a widescreen.

(the file is an xvid encoded avi, with AC3 5.1 sound.)

hit the little cogwheel icon on the bottom. then "Change mpeg settings", and customize. you should see a "display aspect ratio" pulldown menu.

DVDMF3 does not officially support wide-screen. You will need to use some video editing tool to convert the wide-screen video to a 4:3 letter-boxed video before you import it into DVDMF3.

It will be solved in the future I think. :wink:

Hope this helps.

After installing the patches, you have to go to:
Project-Settings->Change Mpeg Settings->Customize
There you select Aspect ratio 16:9 instead of 4:3
Haven't authored/burned a DVD in 16:9 since my analogue Video8 source are all 4:3
