Ok, maybe i'm just lazy and don't read the readme files, but in simple terms why would you use videostudio, DVD movie factory, Media studio pro, DVD workshop?
I use videostudio, I create the DVD with titles and burn the project on DVD, why would I use the other packages?
I'm not knocking the other application, I just can't understand why you need them
Thanks
What to use and why

VideoStudio is aimed at the consumer and is predominantly a video editor with limited DVD authoring capabilities tacked on.
DVD Movie Factory is a consumer level advanced DVD authoring program that has limited editing ability.
Media Studio Pro is a prosumer level video editor with limited DVD authoring capability tacked on.
DVD Workshop is a prosumer DVD authoring program.
Its "horses for courses" and on one hand is a marketing exercise in offering different products but also allows you to choose (and pay for!) the capabilities you want.
Personally I just use VideoStudio.

That question can only be answered by you..
Does VS9 do everything you want? If yes....
Then no it would not be worth upgrading.
Would you like to have multiple overlay tracks, to do more complex things like picture-in-picture, lower third graphics and titles? If yes...
Then it would be worth editing.
Just starting asking yourself questions like those, and you will find the only answer that counts...Is it worth it to you...
