Hi,
I've captured and created several avi-files (DV-format) from my Sony HC94 camcorder. Recording is 16:9. I'm using VideoStudio 10 Plus.
The avi-files are part of a project; each avi file is a clip of the project.
When I play the clip "as a clip" (this setting is in the editor on the left of the play button), everything runs smoothly. But when I play the clip "as a project", then the clips aren't played smoothly anymore. Iow it becomes jerky, choppy and there is also some flickering.
Moreover, the jerky playback can also be seen on DVD's based on the project.
I've tried to change some settings of the project properties, but to no avail.
So does anybody have any idea how to play a entire project smoothly?
Thanks in advance!

Even though you have a fairly fast machine, there are 2 things working against you.
1. Playing in Project Mode, is more times then naught going to be as you described. It's just the way VS plays it back. It has to throw everything that you have done together "on-the-fly".
2. If you are using HDV, then that makes it worse. It's very hard for a computer to compile all that information, and play it back smoothly without first rendering it.
