Deleting Preset Chapter Marker in VS10+

Post by blplhp »

When in Share|Create Disc|Add Chapters, VS10+ always provides the first chapter marker for you by default, with a timecode of 00:00:00.00. How can I delete this preset chapter marker?

Second related question is this - if I can delete this preset chapter marker at 00:00:00.00 and add five of my own chapter markers, with the first one having a timecode of, say, 00:00:06.00, when I click on the "play" button of either the main menu or the chapter menu, will the video still start from 00:00:00.00 or will it start from 00:00:06.00?

I want the click of the "play" button on either menu to start the video from the very beginning, but I want the chapter selection thumbnails to be the ones that I select and not necessarily having the first chapter starting with the very first frame of the video. Cn this be done?

:?:

Hi

Afaik you cannot remove the first default chapter marker.

When you select play in the main menu, if chapters have been set then the sub-menu will open to allow you to choose the chapter.
If no chapters are set, the video will start to play.

If only one video is used then you can disable the main menu, going straight to the sub-menu (chapters)

Thanks Trevor,

I didn't think you could delete the first default chapter marker provided by VS10+. Thanks for confirming my suspicion.
