Post by 2BaD »

First off id like to say hi, first time posting here!

Anyways ill get straight to it

Im trying to make an object fade away with videostudio 10 plus!

For example say the movie is playing and theres a person on the screen, i want to be able to make that person fade away like a ghost of something! is that at all possible with vs10+ or not?

Also is they any place that i could fine any tutorials for videostudio Ive checked most ive seen about, the very very very basic ones, but nothing really of interest regarding using the overlays ect.

many thanks for your time! and im very much hoping there is a solution to what im asking!

Thanks again

There are several ways of accomplishing that task.
I will try explaining just one way, and the rest of the gang can
come up with other ways.

First do a non moving video clip of a background scene. 2nd place your person in front of the same background scene. The camera has to be stationary in both cases. Now place the video clip of the person in the front of the back ground in the time line and then the second video clip of just the back ground. Put a cross fade transition between the two video clips. Then save it as a video file. You should now get the person fading into the background scene.

There are several other ways of accomplishing this...so lets hear from the others.

Thanks for the fast reply joosuna apreciate that, i think i understand what your meaning, i will give that a go!

looking forward to hearing others views aswell!

Again thanks joosuna

Ive just been playing around with what you mentioned joosuna, in that case i have to take different camara shots! Ill remember that for when im next filming! I was merely wanting to use the video clips i already have on my sytem! (I should of been more specific)

great way though, the more i think about it, the easyier it becomes!

Fade person in+out

Post subject: fade some one in/out of a scene

try this
Film a scene preferably with nothing moving in the background using a tripod.Film the same scene with the person in it.Place the 2 shot with the person in it into the overlay track and use the fade transition with overlay in the video track.
