Video Compression

I have a quick (probably obvious) question: When I create my video using MS 8, the output file is well over a 1gb. I've gone into options when creating the video and adjusted the compression but the quality selector is grayed out. How can I adjust that to shrink the video size? Thanks in advance!

Create video file - options menu - AVI sequence - compression (Xvid codec) this makes nearly 80 % lower disk space. Or another way to shrink is to use another software that converts videos to eachother. you may find it here : www.avsmedia.com/VideoConverter/index.aspx
