VS10 Pan & Zoom Feature Loss?

Post by gordonwd »

I'm thinking of going back to VS8 to do the slideshow portion of a DVD project that I'm working on. It appears that VS8 had more options in the image pan & zoom that I would really like to use. The two features are the optional "middle" keyframe (instead of just start & end), plus a "pause" that makes the motion stop for a specified time.

The effect that I like to use is, for example, to zoom in quickly on a picture and then hold the zoomed-in position for a second or two. This is easily doable in VS8, but I can't see a way to do it in VS10+ (you just get continuous motion from the start to the end of the image clip). Am I missing something, or did they remove this feature as well as the additional key-frame feature?

I think this subject was covered just the other day in another thread so if you do a search you should be able to find it. With VS10+ you could add a close up at the end of the zooming and get the same result.

EDIT: I found this related thread for you - http://phpbb.ulead.com.tw/EN/viewtopic.php?t=16726
