Burning MPG films to a Double Layer 8.5gb DVD ?

Post by remind »

Hi all, I cannot see how to make Movie factory reconigse that the DVD-R I have in drive is a 8.5gb disc.
Is there a special way of doing it?

I only have Movie Factory 2.0 DO the later versions have this option?

Thanks in advance

DVD MF2 does not support DL discs, as they probably were not available at that time. I know DVD MF4 and later do.

Yes, the new versions support dual layer burning.

IF your copy of DVD MF-2 came as part of the MediaStudio Pro 7 package then your only hope is to go to this page and download the latest CD/DVD Burning Pack for it;

http://www.ulead.com/tech/general/burning_patch.htm

but follow the instructions about backing up the C:\Program Files\Common Files\Ulead Systems\DVD folder. Otherwise there is no going back other than reinstallation if it doesn't work right. At the least it'll update your compatable drive collection and add 8x +RW and 16x burning.

If not part of the MediaStudio Pro 7 package do not apply this patch.

It might not support to burn DL disk even you have updated the burning engine pack. It would need the program itself to support DL also.

Ulead supports DL burning since DVDMF 3.5. You might need to upgrade to get the DL burning feature.
