I would like after producing a title in VS 10 with animation, it to stand still for a few seconds after the animation.
Is this possible.

Yes
You are best to create two titles.
One that has your animation
The second that fades out.
Create the first title, drag this to the library to create a copy.
This will preserve the text position.
Drag the title back to the timeline adjacent to the first one.
Change the animation to fade out.
