How do I resize an image that is imported into my video? It appears as full screen and I cannot see any tags to adjust its size.

You can do this by applying a Moving Path. Moving Paths are used to move, scale, rotate and otherwise mutilate images/clips etc., but you can make them stationary by copying the same values to the first and last keyframes in the Moving Path dialog.

There are several types of Moving Path; 2D Basic, 2D Advanced, 3D, Cylinder, Sphere and Picture in Picture but for this purpose a 2D Basic will do;

'Width/Height' set the new size of the image and 'X/Y' position it in the frame. In a 720x480 frame X=360 and Y=240 is 'centered'.

'Keep aspect ratio' maintains the clips proportions and 'Interpolate....' makes for a higher quality scaling. When using 'Keep aspect ratio' setting one value will automatically set the other.

Note the keyframe menu at the top. Select the first keyframe then open the context menu. The 'Copy and paste to all right' selection will set the start and end keyframes to the same value, making the image stationary. If there are any intermediate keyframes they too will be set to the value of the selected keyframe.

Setting them to different values will make the image fly around the screen. Clicking the '+' button below the keyframer timeline will add new keyframes at the slider position for more complex motions.

An alternative way to control the Moving Path is to drag the clip around in the Preview Widow. If after a 2D Moving Path is applied and the image is not centered or full scale you'll see green boxes on its sides and corners. These can be used to scale/position the image visually, but the dialog is more precise;

Hope this helps....
