joining 2 files together

can make dvd with no problem with just one movie clip.but when i try to make a movie with 2 parts.the second part has a time lagg before playing and the sycno is out.yet i can played both parts individually and are perfect.the icon for joining movies is not highlighted.why.

mpeg files.with ulead i get 3 second delay between films and once you have gone into second half you cannot go back to the first half.keeps starting from second half.unless i restart from the beginning

I use the program Videoredo to join, split or edit mpegs then I use Ulead to create the actual disc with chapters etc. Reason -- PAL users usually suffer audio/vid sync probs after any editing of mpegs in Ulead DVD movie factory. It copes fine if it's pre-edited.
