convert scenes to individual clips
Is there a way to convert scenes to individual clips without rendering a DVD and importing the contents back into DVDWS?

If this is a DVDWS question, then you should post it in the correct forum. If it is aVS question, then what I would do is cut the clip at the points you want, then with the cut clip highlighted in the timeline, select Save Trimmed Video (under Clip in VS10 and 9). This will insert a new icon into the Library pane. You can then delete the edited clip from the timeline and insert the newly saved clip in its place.
