I am using vs 10 plus. A question about pan & zoom.
Having a problem controlling - the commands in vs 9 allowed me to pause the zoom - can you do this in the new version?
Also - I heard that correll bought out ulead? Do you think this will change the software as far as Photo Impact? Just curious.
Thanks
Pete

I don't see a pause (someone correct me if I'm wrong) but you could insert key frames and have it not change for a period.petrea wrote:I am using vs 10 plus. A question about pan & zoom.

As a Canadian I'm happy that Corel is making this move as they are a canadian company but they do have a history of screwing up good products. Let's hope they don't this time. Also - I heard that correll bought out ulead? Do you think this will change the software as far as Photo Impact? Just curious.

Re: pan and zoom feature vs10+ and ownership of Ulead
Hello petrea,
Guy is correct, you will have to create the pause effect by inserting an additional keyframe with the same attributes, spaced according to the length of pause you desire. When adding the second keyframe to create the pause, right click on the previous keyframe and choose "copy", then right click on the second keyframe of the pause and choose "paste". This way, the exact same attributes (crosshair location and zoom level) of the first pause keyframe matches the second pause keyframe, and you have a motionless pause.

pan and zoom ULead vs 11 plus
As ULead vs 11 plus does not have the VERY USEFUL feature of being able to pause at start, middle or end of a zoom, I have found that to achieve this I have to return to my old Ulead vs 9, make the zoom and pauses as I wish them to be, save it as a video-clip, and then insert the video-clip into my new project on VideoStudio 11 plus. A BIG NUISANCE but it works. It is a shame that the feature is not included in the 11 plus version.

Re: pan and zoom ULead vs 11 plus
Yes it is a shame..NOT.. What VS11 (and VS10) uses to accomplish this is Keyframes. Keyframes are what the professional type programs use. Keyframes are multitudes better then how it was done in VS9.junehallen wrote:As ULead vs 11 plus does not have the VERY USEFUL feature of being able to pause at start, middle or end of a zoom, I have found that to achieve this I have to return to my old Ulead vs 9, make the zoom and pauses as I wish them to be, save it as a video-clip, and then insert the video-clip into my new project on VideoStudio 11 plus. To learn about using Keyframes turn in the manual to page #66.

pan and zoom Ulead vs 11 plus
Thank you everyone for the advice. I'll have to try KEYFRAMES. I'm not familiar with them yet, but will keep trying.
