FAQ: What capture device is supported by DVD MovieFactory?

Post by htchien »

You can check the Compatibility List at http://www.ulead.com/tech/dmf/compatibility_dmf5sp1.htm to know if your device is been supported by DVDMF.

Hello Htchien, I'm brand new in this activity of creating DVD's and I will like to start creating nice home videos. I have a Sony DCR-HC20. I don't see this camera as part of the list that has compatibility. Does that mean that I'm out of the game? I will love to create a nice DVD and cut scenes and add titles, very basic things. I have a Memorex DVD burner and have a 300 GB external drive. I thought that DVD Movie Factory was going to be the answer to capture my handycam tapes. I feel lost. Can you please help me? I will truly appreciate it. Thanks.

Device not in the list does not mean it will not be supported. You can download the trial version of DVDMF 5 Plus to see if it works, and I think it will if you connect the cam via DV-Link / IEEE-1394 connection.

Best regards,

Would you know if the Hauppauge WintTV-HVR-950 Hybrid Video, USB card would be compatible with DVDMF4?

I guess you could ask Hauppauge for that question.
