Hi all,
I'm new here so I apologize if I missed this post somewhere...
I started using VS 7 SE to edit some rather large MPEG files I recorded. Seems to do what I want for the most part, although the interface is a little too much on the "bling-bling" side for my taste. My main issue with the GUI is that I run my task bar on the top of my screen and VS has it's own menu. If this menu isn't located at the top of the screen it does not appear at all. I have to either move or hide my task bar to get to the menu bar in VS. If I do get it to show up by hiding or moving my taskbar and then I move my taskbar back to the top where I normally use it, the menu bar in VS no longer works.
Running XP SP2 BTW. Anyone have any suggestions or info on a fix? I know the workaround is not a difficult one, but it's still a pain in the ***...

It's either a VS7 problem or perhaps a video card driver. I use VS8 with WinXP Home Edition SP2. I can move the taskbar to any side/top/bottom while VS8 is running and it adjusts to the screen properly. If you have the lastest video drivers for your card then there may not be a solution other than what you are already doing.
