Timeline insert question

Post by xImran »

Hi All

I have edited my video and added subtitles with some background music at certain parts of the time line. Now I have to insert few images in between the video clips which last for 10-20 seconds. When I insert the images the video timeline shifts but the text and music doesn't and comes at wrong point in the timeline.

What should I do or what am I doing wrong?

You need to enable the 'Ripple Editing' function for the relevant tracks so that when you insert your new images, the tracks are locked in sync. Page 64 of the VS10 manual will explain it to you in detail.

Hi xImran, and welcome to the forums...:)

Do you have Ripple Editing enabled for the title and audio tracks? You can learn about Ripple Editing on pp#64 of the VS10 Manual.

Also read this part of the tutorial, From Camcorder to DVD, . Which is found in our tutorials section.

Guys

Thanks I lot I read the chapter and realized that ripple editing was disabled. I enabled it and now works like charm.

Once again thanks for all your support.
