Digital DV Camcorder Support

Post by Poopsi »

A bit of topic but does anyone know of a support group for Beginners like myself. I just bought a Canon Elura 100 Camcorder and it would be great to get some help figuring out all the settings and getting to know the camera. I have Ulead Video Studio to edited it all but I am having problems with my Camera. Thank you Irene

Hi Poopsi, and welcome to the forums..:)

I just done a quick google search on "Canon Elura 100 forums" and found this:

http://www.camcorderinfo.com/bbs/f24.

Camcorderinfo.com is a real good forum...

Ron

You've just given me an idea for the General information forum.
I think we could do with a list of other forums that are related to ours
not the competition such as pinnacle, but things like the Hauppauge forum, DMN, smartsound, Photoimpact and so on. I'll kick it off later.

Hi Irene,

What problems are you having with the camcorder? Are you trying to do some of the manual settings, or are you using the easy mode :?:

One thing I would recommend is changing the default audio mode from 12-bit to 16-bit.

Regards,
George

I have been using the Easy Mode but now I am trying to do all the manual settings. Have done some reading and changed the default audio to 16-bit. I have found that it takes the camera a very long time to focus when I move the Camera around and that shows up in the clip. Also I find it grainy on my LCD Screen. Have not yet transfered anything onto my Computer. What i am interested in, is some help with the most important settings to get the best quality for this Camera. Thank you so much for helping. Irene

That’s a great idea Steve and please include the camcorder rating page at http://www.camcorderinfo.com/ratings.php that is very helpful but often missed. :D
