DEVICE ERROR: CANNOT OPEN WAVE-IN DEVICE

Post by kevinp »

I've been working on a project and have recorded voice over on it. For some reason, I am now receiving the above message when trying to add more v/o to the project (something I have done in the past....) If I start a "new" project, I do not receive this message and can record.

Why would I receive this when trying to continue to record with my previous project?

Thanks for any comments or suggestions!

How exactly did you make the previous voice-over -- using VS or a third party audio editing program?

Yes you did! I didn't add any more as I have never used the VS 'in-house' audio editor. I always do my voice-overs in the Nero Wave Editor and import them, and never had any problems. Using a third part audio editor also gives me more flexibility and options.
