DVD MF 5 - Trial Version .... fade to black issue

When trying to apply a Fade To Black transition to the very last scene of a clip the result is a temporary fade to black then the last few seconds of the clip reappear. I've tried playing with the insert time as well as the duration but can't get this to work properly.
Any ideas ??

This sounds like it is related to the bug with certain menu transitions mentioned here in previous posts.

You could try without 2-pass encoding, in case you're using 2-pass setting.

Otherwise... wait for fix. I don't think the latest company wheelin-dealin will delay the patches beyond xmas 2006. Maybe.

I don't think it has anything to do with the encoding. You may have used a transistion which fades to black and back. Look at the key locations for the transition. Make sure the last one is still all black.
