Hi,
I have a question: I have a movie about a Military graduation that was my first video shoot. I have learned a lot about "silk purse/sow's ear" since then BUT...I'm stuck with what I have.
here is what i have...30 minutes of not bad footage, with horrible audio...lot's of noise, background talking...etc...
What I'm trying to do is put in the best bits and tell the story of the graduation with moving pictures set to music....maybe about 10 minutes long max...
How do I sync up the changing of titles, clips and things to the changing of the music..?
OR
Does anyone have better ideas?
Ive done this about 15 times and nothing looks good...and manually syncing is very tough going..

Syncing your clips with the musical background

As a general rule, lay your music tracks and then sync your pictures to those tracks in the project timeline. Then use the Ripple Editing feature to lock the sync of your pictures relative to music tracks. As for creative input; very difficult to do without seeing your footage. With a 10 minute duration, I think that three sections with a nice graphic introducing each section would work well. Also, is there any military stock footage you could use? What about a relevant military quote used against a graphic background to introduce each section? Some of your shots may also work nicely as stills, possibly black and white?

TDK,
Thanks for the input. I guess I should have said that this is my nephews graduation from Marine Boot camp...so there are two things going on..
1.) they wanna see the memories..blurry or not...lol..
2.) I'd like it to be as nice as possible....
Is there a place I could see what some other members have done so I can see some possibilities?
