Using .Fon Windows Fonts in PhotoImpact?

I have a .fon Windows system font that I would like to use in PhotoImpact. I can use it in Photoshop and Paint, but the font does not seem to be available in PhotoImpact. It is fully installed into Windows. Does anyone know of any way to make this work? Thanks

A Fon is a file full of scalable fonts, where as the Font file is a single Font. I have only been able to open single True Type fonts while using PI.

I know you cannot open the font in another application and then paste to PI. PI will treat the cut and paste as an object and not a type.

Hopefully someone else is smarter than I am and has a workaround.
