Does anyone have a fix for this?

Trying to do what I think is a simple task. I have several video clips taken with a Canon A75(?). I want to put them on a DVD for the folks.

Now all I get is this error.

Thanks in advance.

I believe they are QuickTime MOV files??

Some QuickTime MOV files from digital camera are using some problem CODEC that will cause this problem. To solve the issue you will need to use some third party tool to convert those MOV files to other video formats.

Hope this helps.

I tried uninstalling the software and re-installing it. It works now. However, only did one DVD. I will reply back if it fails again.

I have the same problem but I am only creating a CD picture slide show with MovieFactory3 using plain JPG files.....

every single time i do it i get the stupid error.... i am not using any transition effect or other fancy things.... get the same thing if just making a disk image. (1000 pics or so)

tried doing a trial run with just 400 pictures and it burned and made the image just fine..... WHAT COULD BE WRONG ???? apparently the slide show supports up to 1,980 pictures

HELP...

I have the trial version downloaded off this site

After successfully burning two DVDs I got the error again. So I uninstalled and re-installed the software again. It works now. I hope I don't have to do this all the time.

Here's what tech support emailed to me.
Please try the following steps:

1. Launch Windows Explorer and go to tools\folder option\advance setting to check "show hidden files and folders".
2. Purge/delete all the files in these folders:
"C:\Windows\Temp"
"C:\Documents and Settings\[User Name]\Local Settings\Temp" (for WinXP)
3. Go to "C:\Program Files\Ulead Systems"
4. Delete the folder for MovieFactory 3.5.
5. Delete "C:\Program Files\Common Files\Ulead Systems"
6. Go to "C:\Program Files\InstallShield Installation Information"
7. Delete the folder "{C7D89BBE-D4B3-49E8-B185-7966B5345866}"
8. Go to Start-->Run
9. type "regedit"
10. Go to "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Ulead Systems\Ulead DVD MovieFactory"
11. Delete the folder "3.5"
12. Go to "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Ulead Systems\Ulead DVD MovieFactory"
13. Delete the folder "3.5"
14.Close "Regedit"
15.Restart Windows
16.Reinstall MovieFactory 3.5.

Thank you and good luck!

I am also getting this error when I try to create a slideshow DVD. While doing so, I was watching the system using Task Manager and noticed that the process (DVDMF.exe) was using a *lot* of memory, and overall memory usage was steadily increasing well beyond the amount of RAM that I have installed (1 Gb) so maybe it eventually ran out of virtual memory. There were over 2 million page faults before it quit.

I don't know if this is, in fact, what's causing the error, but it looked suspicious to me. Hopefully Ulead will look into this.

Trial version of DVDMF 3 will have virtual memory problems on slide-show burning, and it's been fixed in the full (purchased) version with update packs.

Hope this helps.
