Video & Aduio Won't Sync

I am using VideoStudio 10 on and HP Media Center PC with 2 Gig of Ram and a dual core processor at 2.85 gig. My camera is a Sony that records direct to DVD. I shot a concert which was also being recorded through the soundbaord at the concert. I imported the video from the DVD and then split audio and video so I could delete the audio recorded by my camcorder. I then imported the audio from the CD and synced up picture and sound. This works fine for a few minutes and then I notice the audio and video are out of sync. Even when I go back to the front the sync is off from there as well even though they were in sync originally. What is causing these two to not sync together to the end after I have synced them and see them working properly for a few minutes?
