How long does Ulead take with rebate checks?
My VS 10+ came with a $30 rebate (score!) and I sent the paperwork off.
Has anyone ever gotten a rebate from Ulead? How long does it usually take?

I don't know but I got my boxed version of VS10+ from CompUSA and I sent in the paperwork too and I haven't got my $30 rebate back yet either. I would have bought it anyway but the rebate would be nice.meshuken wrote:My VS 10+ came with a $30 rebate (score!) and I sent the paperwork off.

No $30 Rebate - Invalid UPC
I just received an email that my rebate could not be processed due to an invalid UPC!
What a surprise!!! Now, of course they won't accept a copy. I've experienced this before and have a std way of doing rebates to help collect. It has usually worked until now....
- Tape rebate form, UPC and receipt together.
- Put name/address on UPC and receipt
- copy all material sent
Of course the 30 day return of software passed on the exact same day the software was purchased. I will not support Ulead unless this is resolved!!!

We have a saying here in Australia: Life's a *** and then you die!
We also are not offered such rebates. Yet do we say that are not going to buy the product because others elsewhere in the world can get it cheaper?
No. We buy a video editing program for what it can do, not how much it costs -- though we certainly hope the latter will be at least reasonable for what we are getting.

Re: No $30 Rebate - Invalid UPC
How can a 30 day warranty be expired on the date of purchase? The 30 day guarantee starts on the date of purchase and would expire 30 days later...mattm55 wrote:I just received an email that my rebate could not be processed due to an invalid UPC!

Also posting about not supporting unless is not going to gain anything here. We are not Corel, Intervideo/Ulead employees, just volunteers, and users like you. Sorry but your recourse is through customer care, either on-line or on the phone.

No $30 Rebate - Invalid UPC
Hello again,
You guys have some good points and it was just that time of the month to rant. I wanted to make sure others (potential customers checking on forum before buying) were aware of how Ulead handles rebates, or how they don't handle rebates.
The software was purchased by my wife for Xmas, which was over the 30 days. To me, your correct...if the software is worth the purchase price or more, who cares about a rebate. Just don't put a BIG HUGE sticker on the front of the box saying $30 Rebate....
Sorry guys if you thought my post was directed at the general users and volunteers. It was not...

Ok I see the reason for the delay on the 30 day return policy. However I choose to take advantage of a rebate I consider it a plus if I actually get it back. I was surprised once, when I received a rebate check some 6 months later. I had totally forgot about sending it in. It was for a some hardware that I had purchased.
It's nice to get it, and believe me I can use every penny, but if I can afford to buy something in the first place, then the rebates are not that important, just an add bonus..
