I got the wrong VS10!

Post by rpavich123 »

Hi,
I ordered VS10 PLUS from an online retailer and was so excited! I just got it and there are nothing like everyone describes...no mulitple overlay tracts...no dolby 5.1..
I think I got VS10 instead?

If the product came in a box, the Ulead Video Studio 10 plus box that I have is white and blue. The upper left hand corner of the box reads
InterVideo Ulead - Digital convergence. The main body reads
Ulead VideoStudio 10 plus. Is that what you have ?

Yes mine just came in a CD mailer - nothing else.

Certainly doesn't sound right Bob - what does the start-up "Splash" window say - mine actually says - "VideoStudio® 10 PLUS" If yours doesn't actually say 'PLUS' looks like you have ground for complaint.

Yes,
mine doesn't say "plus" when the splash screen comes up...arggg...

What a hassle...

I emailed the online retailer and no answer yet...

The printing on the CD also says "VideoStudio 10 Plus".

What's really weird is this:
The DISK said Plus on it...my recipt said PLUS, but it wasn't plus...

I went to Ulead and downloaded the upgrade 'cause I couldn't wait...and PLUS is what I got BUT the splash screen is still saying VD10 only..even though it is VS10 with the new layout, the dolby, multi overlay etc...

weird huh..
Now all I have to do is get some artistic ability...
Actually, I'd like to see some examples of peoples work from this forum...so i can see the possibilities...how about that?

What do you mean by 'splash screen'? The first screen which appears when you click on the icon -- the one which gives you the choice between Editor, Movie Wizard and DV-to-DVD Wizard? Well, mine doesn't say 10 Plus either -- only 10. When I select Editor, it then says 10+.

But the important thing is what happens when you click on the Help question mark symbol in the top right, and then select About. In my case, it then says it is version 10.0.0110.0 *PLUS*. Does yours?

The "Splash" window (screen) is the small window which appears while the programme is loading - it is the small window with the jumping dolphin in as shown in Bobs post above.

Trevor -- I know what a splash screen is! I was merely trying to elicit further information from Bob and to point out that there is a disjunct between what appears first (as shown by Steve), which in most other programs would actually be the splash screen, and the screen which appears when you have selected 'VideoStudio Editor' on the first screen...

Guys,
I guess I was a little sloppy with my nomenclature..sorry....

Another thing that I've now realized...

Ya gotta take decent footage to get a decent movie...a very hard lesson....

Bob,

Yep, as I first read here from Ken, "You can't make a silk purse from a sows ear"...
