I got that message also last night "Unspecified Error' (5:0:0). After 3 hrs of trial & error, I found the glitch to cause this error (at least in my case). It was during the create disk process. I received this error message when it was 65% of converting menu files.
What I did was whet back to creating a menu & changed the background image. This did the trick. I was using "bonus" menu & choose the Beach scene (umbrella & chairs on beach).
What I would suggest to you is, render a 5 min video as a test, & go over the same steps. If it works with the menu's you choose, then it should work for the project your working on.
I took notes on this, but I am at work at the moment. Bottom Line: I change the background in the menu & it worked.
Let me know how you make out.....Rich

The only other suggestion I have is insert your original VS10+ cd & try the "repair". See if that will work. Another thing I did was a system restore in windows xp-sp2.LimpMan wrote:I still got same error message evean i change back ground.i try all the menu which came in vs 10.
Good Luck.......Rich

You may also want to check your settings of the DVD burners IDE connection.
I kept having this trouble with VS9 when I got my new PC. They had set the IDE connection up with the default DMA, when I changed it to PIO Only - bingo worked every time since.
To check this goto Control Panel->System->Hardware->Device Manager
then expand IDE/SATA/ATAPI Controllers find your connection for your DVD burner then change it to PIO Only.
