agree, but this is done by uncountable and well-known software, not just Intervideo. Man, look at the task tray on a PC from somebody that doesn't spend time checking and eliminating the "parasites". Not to mention the security threat if abused.
I agree with your points exactly. You're right that there's a lot worse stuff being crammed on our systems that this. I think this Intervideo stuff I'm dealing with it just a trigger for me at this moment, and I had a place to try and get some answers and vent.

I believe that a vast majority of the average computer users don't know how to disable this stuff. But it's STILL on my system. My system has enough totally unused stuff as it is that I want to scream. I get totally annoyed with the products you mentioned popup with these reminders, and offers to upgrade. I turn them all off, if I can.

Well, have we dragged this off topic enough???? :twisted:

For videostudio and moviefactory yes. But they already have a couple of good photo products from their Jasc aquisition (Paint shop pro and photo album)
