How do I delete captured pictures?

Post by sek0910 »

I captured some images from my webcam and when I do that, they appear as thumbnails in the video capture window that opens up. I can't find any way to delete those thumbnail pics (and/or the actual captured pictures themselves).. HELP

Thanks,
Stephen

Did you ever try to right click the images in the library and chose delete?

when I right click on the thumbnails, I only get a popup that reads "What's This?"

Where exactly do you view these pictures or thumbnails? Can you provide a screen shot?

This is what I get when I right click on any image in WinExplorer.

I view these images within Photoimpact. File--->Scanner--->Ibot Desktop Cam.

A window opens up titled "Capture Pictures from Video" with the capture window on the left and the already captured images (in thumbnail form) on the right. When I right click on the thumbnail images, I only get a popup "What's This"

If I knew where the actual pics were stored I'd delete them from there.

Are these actual images? When you capture these from the tapes, there should be a mention of the actual location of these files. The weird way of looking at the pic's cant be reproduced on my machine because I don't have the application installed.

Could you please explain why you use this approach? If these are proper images, downloaded from the camera tape, you should be able to view the images with Ulead Viewer, PhotoExplorer and use PI to open these images.

Something doesn't add up.

Not sure what you mean.. When I double click on the images they open up in Photoimpact

All I want to do is find out where they are stored on my hard drive so I can delete them. I can't even search for them because I don't know their names

Once you have an image opened in PhotoImpact, go to File menu, Image Properties or press Alt + Enter. In the Properties Dialogue box that opens, under File it tells you where the image is located.

Tried that but the bottom part of the Image Properties window is grayed out--no file name, format or size

Just the top part (Data type, Width, Height, Res and Size) are shown
