Creating 2 copies

Post by Rayama »

Hi all,
I'm trying to make a DVD on Video Studio 9.0. I'm using Windows XP SP2. I want to make 2 copies. The first copy I can burn without problems, but burning the 2nd, I get the message "error 5213 - trouble with the burner. Try it again or reboot your system". Any suggestions? Many thanks.

If you already have one good working DVD then the simplest way to make a second one may simply be to use any Disc manipulation programme you may have (Roxio, Nero etc. etc.) and just 'Disc Copy' to copy the files from the finished DVD to a blank DVD.

...Or if you always plan on making multiple copies (for distribution to family and friends), instead of actually burning a disc in the burning phase, instead choose either to burn a disc image file .ISO or a Video Folder Video_TS, both of which contain the exact structure of a final DVD. They can be burned on the third party programs already mentioned, though ISO files can also be burned on the VCD DVD Disc Image Recorder which comes bundled with Video Studio (look at your main menu in Windows). Either of these formats also have the advantage of being playable on software DVD players, so you can check that everything is indeed OK before you waste a disc.
