Hey
I've captured a video and pushed the stop capture button 15 min after the video finished - NOW have 15 min of blue screen !
i want to remove those 15 min FROM THE FILE (And keep the file stored on my hard disk) - I DON"T WANT TO BURN IT ON DVD
The trim option still keeps the original file in my hard disk ,and just burns the selected part on a DVD - THAT"S NOT WHAT I WANT !
I Want to remove EXTRA DATA from my Hard disk - But keep the selected part as is !
Remove End Of film

create a new video file from your captured/edited file and delete the original afterwards. If you can't do that in MF (never used it for any editing tasks) download a trial of VS and do the same.
Neither NLE editor (MF is not an editor but has limited editing capabilities) is altering the original file. The project file keeps track of the "IN" and "OUT" positions and will render only these sections. The original will stay intact. BTW, you can also "burn" your file as a DVD to the hard disk. That would allow you to have DVD menus etc. You do not "have to" burn to DVD disk.
