What are you talking about?

How did you install your version of MF5?

During the install, you have the possibility to select your TV standard as well as the country where you live. US american versions may be limited to NTSC, that I don't know, but that PAL is not supported  what do you think people in europe, australia and the rest of the world, not using NTSC, are using?

Sorry

Sorry I'll Keep the thread here only

Done What you've proposed - it has changed in there to PAL/SECAM

But still will not work - i think the problem is in -

Capture video (window) - Advanced settings... - video properties - input source (tag) - TV system menu is only showing NTSC and that's the only option it has !

Thank u

You didn't install correctly, try uninstall and fresh install with the correct settings.

Out of curiosity, what device are you using to capture? Sometimes if it is a capture device, you can check that company's support pages for software/driver updates.

What is the source material and hardware, and what connections are being made to your computer?

George

You might find that the software that came with your device is modified to work with that device. Use that to capture.

Heinz says: your hardware may only work with MF2.
So use MF2 for capture step, then process your video further with MF5.

I don't think it matters much what you want. If you try to run Windows XP on an old 386 PC, will that work just because you want to? Does a diesel car run on petrol just because you want to, no is the answer. Whether you understand that or not, is immaterial. These are the hard facts. Sorry.

I spell it for you once more: MF5 does support PAL and NTSC. It supports different capture devices too.
It just doesn't support your device.

I'm sure everyone else agrees, that this is hardly Uleads fault. It's the hardware manufacturers fault because they chose to stray from some neccessary standards.

Mostlikely it was cheaper for them that way but they supplied you a modified program which works with your device. What more do you want?

Funny

As Far as i understand my hardware is O.K
Pentium 4 ,2.6 GHz , 512 RAM - and the dmf5 does recognize the capture device - it works wonderful in NTSC mode - so why not in PAL ?

Especially When old versions support this feature (which implies that it's NOT a hardware issue at all) ! if an OLDER version of the product support PAL - There is no reason what so ever that the NEW version won't support it - it's not like PAL method is fading out from this world

As for your metaphor - I bought the car in Japan why it would not drive in Italy ???

And As for Ulead's Fault -you said "they supplied you a modified program which works with your device... - Ulead Is A Part of - they .

p.s.
I have downloaded other versions & Softwares from Uleads Site - that works great with my device - including Video Studio 10 plus (DEMO VERSION) !
How Can u explain that ?
