NO AUDIO WHILE CAPTURING WITH MOVIE FACTORY 4
When using Movie Factory 4 I don't hear audio while capturing. However, when I go to edit, I get the audio. I am capturing analog from a camcorder and also a Super VHS. My capture source is 'ATI AV Stream Analog Capture' and I have a Wonder Elite PCI Capture Card. I have checked my 'Windows Mixer' and nothing is muted or turned down. All audio cables are plugged in, so my husband says anyway. We don't understand why we don't get audio while capturing - is it a problem at our end, or is that the way Movie Factory 4 is set up? Can somebody help us? Thanks much, eh!

Hi Bpsanders, and welcome to the forum..
First please do not double post. It confuses people trying to follow threads. When responding to a question you have posed, just click the Reply button, instead of starting a new thread.
Now I have to ask did your copy of DMF4 come with your ATI TV Elite card?
I'm not that familiar with the newer ATI cards, I have an older AIW on my old Win98 PC. I know that you must have an audio cable running from the ATI card to the Line-In port of your soundcard to capture the audio. There also maybe some settings for your ATI card, that you need to set. Review the manual for the ATI card to see what it suggests. I know with my AIW card I had better luck using ATI's software to capture my video. It also came with VS5, which I used to edit and burn the videos back to tape or to VCD, (I didn't have a DVD burner back then..)

no sound
I see you are using Realtek ac97' sound drivers, these are a major problem unless you keep them up to date, realtek has just released an update a couple of weeks ago, would suggest you update.
note: I'm sure it's nothing to do with your no sound problem but will give you problems anyway if not attended to.
regards Buster
