....so if you own DMF5 and would like to have the extra bits of content etc supplied in DMF5 Plus, it will still cost you the same as an upgrade from DMF4 or any previous generation (ie you've wasted your money upgrading to DMF5 in the first place). I note from previous posts that they haven't even bothered to fix the glaring problems with DMF5, so don't think that you're getting an "improved" version of the basic program.
Is there anybody out there from Ulead who can justify this pricing policy?

and i just bought MovieFactory 5 a couple of months ago....and I haven't gotten to work properly ever since I got it... Was MovieFactory 5 a stopgap until this version (it would explain how little menu options there were.) I think if you bought MovieFactory 5 you should get the upgrade for free.....

Steve J, you sound like a cross between a politician and a Ulead salesperson! Htchien has said previously that the fixes for MF5 will be coming shortly. Does this new + version address MF5 problems or not, or is the patch update for MF5 still on its way?
Thanks
Thanks

So far no fixes have been mentioned in MF5+ compared to MF5.
But for those that have, this will be changed, right?
Not a good idea to anger early buyers too much... what will they do if everybody learns to wait?

I will let you know when I obtain my copy but its purpose will be for use with the tutorials section. I am not going to enter into any salemanship of the product. Other than for use within the tutorials, for my own purposes I have a ton of video editing software already as can be seen in my signature below my posts.MikePH wrote:....also, Steve J, have you spent your £24.99 yet on the upgrade? If so, why?
All I can say is that for a new user it would obviously be wiser to obtain the latest version of any software. For an existing user it is a matter of cost-v-needs. Whilst it is nice to have the latest version of anything it is not always necessary. This is true of any piece of software - be it video related software or not.
