I am in UK and can use mpeg audio as standard
AFAIK mpeg audio is not standard for Ntsc video and may cause problems.
You should use Digital Dolby or Lpcm audio.
Hopefully the boys from the US will reply.
As i said John Hunter is the guy in the know about HD.
How did you capture the video, and did you select the capture properties.
If so can you capture to any other audio settings than Mpeg

From what you have said so far, you have two videos.
Video 1 allowed you to edit and create a new file and you had no problems.
Video 2 after editing produced a problem with the audio.
My suspicions then are that there is a problem with Video 2.
if it was your system or the VideoStudio Software or a codec etc, then you would have been unable to produce the first video.
Perhaps you need to try capturing Video2 again.
If you were using standard definition video I would have suggested running it through Womble or VideoRedo. I have checked both programs and sites but can find no mention of HD Video and so do not know if it is supported by them.
