Saving to AVI

Every time I try to save a project to avi in Cool 3d, the system freezes & I need to restart Cool 3d.

No other programs are running in the background. Virus protection etc is shut off. I also de-installed & re-installed the software. Also, I have a trial copy of Xara 3D6 & the very exact same thing is happening. Xara freezes each time I click on save to avi.

This only happens on my home pc. I tried both softwares on my work pc & both work fine.

There is a conflict somewhere in my home pc that is preventing this important step to saving to avi.

Any suggestions would be appreciated. I'd rather not re-load Windows XP.

What compression type are you using?

What version of Cool3D? (3.0, 3.5, C3DPS)

I'm using Cool 3d 3.0, the version that came with VS10+.

I tried each compression given with the same results. I don't have this issue with my pc at work. My next step tonight will probably to restore my home pc.
