movie factory 3 file format not supported

My capture was file in mpg will not write in dvd factory ,get errors can not open file & file format not supported

mpeg what? mjpg, mpeg1, Mpeg2, mpeg4? Be more specific please. Where did the file come from?

I captured with dvd xpress from analog camcorder to convert to mpeg2 but the file says mpg .I tried copy to disc with move factory 3 thats were I had error ,source file had some problems ,then file format is not supported,I have done all the update for factory 3 se

No. I don't think you get support with the "free" SE versions.

Your MPEG file is probably corrupt. Maybe you had a "glitch" during capture. The Ulead programs sometimes have trouble with MPEGs, especially if they are corrupted. It can be hard to tell, because a corrupt MPEG will sometimes play OK.

Did you capure with Movie Factory, or with the special capture software that's made for your hardware? (CapWiz?) You are usually better-off using the software that's designed for your hardware.

Treat this article as an example of how to use MPG files created with an external program. The precedure with Version 3 shouldn't differ much from version 4.
