Why on earth would you want to transfer the transitions. I thought VS10 had all the transitions used by VS8, plus some more on top of that...
But for what it's worth, when I tried transferring VS9 transitions to VS10 (to correct an ongoing problem I and some other users are having with a lacking album category), it would not work. And believe me, I tried everything, including playing around with replacing .ini files and the main .dat file.
