Why wont DVD-Ram discs open with MF5

I have a DVD camera which i use DVD-RAMs in,when it comes to editing them they will not open!

Did you close the disk in your camera?

Another oddbal item I have seen with mini DVD-RAM disks is they sometime need the original camcorder to read correctly. Placing the mini DVD-RAM into a separate drive would transfer the file but would be unreadable in video editing applications. Plugging in the camcorder and using it as an external drive would work fine.

Also using the same external drive on 2 different systems with the same software installed. One would read the disk correctly, the other system would not.
