I want to make additional copies of a DVD disk

Post by res »

I created and burned a DVD disk in VideoStudio 8. In the Create Disk routine I checked the box to "Create disk image file". A file was created called 'dvd.iso'. From its size it appears to be a copy of my DVD, but I can't open the file.
I want to make more copies of the disk. Can I make copies from this .iso file? I cannot find any information on how to do it, and this file does not seem to be recognised by any copying or burning routine.
Can anybody help? Or do I need to go back to sqare 1 and re-create the disk from the six projects that went into it?

Try Start - All Programs - Ulead Video Studio 8 - VCD DVD Disc Image Recorder.

This will take the iso image you have on the hard drive and burn it to another DVD.

Hope that helps.

Yopu can also use it with Roxio, Nero or any other burning software. Should find it under the file menu.

Here is another question about image files. With the image file, do I need to keep the rendered video files on my computer, or is it safe to delete them?

Thanks Ron, the Disk Image Recorder does it! This place is much more helpful than Ulead's "Help" files!

Everything is contained in the dvd.iso image (to be burned to disc). You could delete the rendered videos and temp files if you like, but then you will have a harder time trying to make changes (if needed). It's up to you on whether you feel you are done with the source files -- if you have them backed up somewhere, then you could free up space...
